Friends for the Protection of Animals (FPA) is a US-based 501 c (3) non-profit animal rescue organization. FPA was founded in February 2010 with the aim of giving a voice to those who cannot speak for themselves. FPA’s guiding principles focus on:
Cooperation

Cooperation

The success of FPA will come from our cooperation with individuals, groups, schools, other organizations, community leaders and local and national animal welfare advocates.

Outreach

FPA will encourage, assist and promote individuals and groups that are considering starting their own program to provide shelter and protection for animals.

Responsibility

FPA will make it our obligation to protect each and every animal in our care. We will make a commitment to provide them a safe shelter, free from harm and fear.
Education

As it continues to grow as an organization, FPA will, in our capacity and at every opportunity, speak for animals to end the cycle of abuse and cruelty and promote the advantages of adopting companion animals, promote humane treatment of companion animals and farm animals.

Run by a team of dedicated volunteers, FPA directly supports Salamat Animal Rescue Shelter (Catbalogan, Samar), Aklan Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Center (Kalibo, Aklan) and Island Rescue Organization (Cebu). FPA aims to not only act as an advocate against animal cruelty but to help those who have been rescued from abuse, abandonment or neglect and find loving forever homes where they may have a second chance at happiness.
