#TransformationTuesdayThese are Ban and Nana, now Joepeth and Manang! They’re graduates of our O IRO Cattery and they’re two peas in a pod, or should we say two cats in a banana! They were adopted last November 2020 and they’re all grown up now but still as close as ever 💕They were also recently spayed and neutered! Often times, people’s pets give birth and the result is that the puppies and kittens, if not adopted, get surrendered to rescue groups or get thrown out on the streets. We always advocate for responsible pet ownership so we want to encourage and educate everyone to have their pets spayed/neutered to avoid unwanted pregnancies and to help lessen the overpopulation of strays. You can avail of low-cost services from the following:Cebu City Animal Care and Control• Veterinary Lgu Mandaue• Cats & Dogs Matter Pet Corral Veterinary Services Lil Paws Veterinary Clinic Shambala Veterinary Clinic Foster family CAZCO Or contact your LGU and ask if they offer low-cost spay and neuter 😊 See MoreSee Less

Update on Sylvia and FelixFelix had been diagnosed with bacterial chongalitis and had been isolated and monitored at camp for 21 days. He will be returning to the vet for a checkup soon. Sylvia, on the other hand, is anemic and in need of chemotherapy which costs Php2,500 for each session. Unfortunately, we cannot proceed with her treatment because she is still anemic. As of now, Sylvia still eats and is active but she still hasn’t gained weight and she keeps getting thinner 🙁 We will be bringing her to the vet for another check up.We’re asking for help to cover Sylvia’s and Felix’s vet bills and will also need a volunteer driver to transport them to the vet. If you are available, please message us!Original post on Felix: www.facebook.com/IslandRescueOrganization/posts/10159838588053109Original post on Sylvia:www.facebook.com/IslandRescueOrganization/posts/10159817807028109Previous update on Sylvia and Felix post-checkup:www.facebook.com/IslandRescueOrganization/posts/10159848259473109If you would like to donate for their vet bills, you may do so through these methods:•Chinabank – Island Rescue Organization-Subangdaku branchChecking account #2890396715•BPI Account Number (1199 1624 93)-Account Name (Carla Joy Estrada)•GCash- Jaica Monique Celiz, 0977 091 1934•BDO Account Number (006100169478)- Jaica Monique Celiz•Via Pera Padala outlets : Jaica Monique Celiz, Pajac, Lapu-Lapu City 0977 091 1934•PAYPAL- helpiro@gmail.com Please send us the transaction slip for proper accounting. This time around 8 years ago, this photo of TERRIE was taken at our then rescue center in Danao. To regular visitors and volunteers at Camp IRO, Terrie is among the first runners to the gate, or as we fondly call them, the ‘welcome committee’. She was put up for adoption month on month but was never adopted. Terrie moved with us from Danao to our Pulangbato Center, and now that we have moved to Bgy. Guba, now known as Camp IRO – Terrie will live her senior years running freely with her fellow senior dogs, especially her batchmate Cutie. <3 Visit Terrie soon and give her a well-deserved belly rub. ^_^Thank you to everyone who sent in their gifts for the shelter donation drive via Paypal yesterday. Thank you Urbane Hop, Mae Charisse Kabahar, Karen Marie Gochuico and to Rosalia Querouz for the very generous donation for the rent expense. We would also like to thank all those who sent in funds for the sick dog in Lapu-Lapu City Pound. Thanks Kristine Suzanne Fineza, Crescencia Lim, Sweet Gan, Ruby Ann Munalem, Kara Halona Kintanar, Milafel Hope Awe and Joseph Bolos for your love gifts to the dog. Last but not the least, a big thanks to Elmar John Valmores and Jennifer Pepito who sent in funds for the rescues’ dog food. We are very grateful to all of you.You can now make regular monthly donations via PayPal to help fund IRO. Happy sunday, Everyone!Because of your generosity, we have received lots of used but still in good condition bedsheets, towels, blankets, and more for our rescues. Thank you! But our concern now is our hard-working caretakers are washing these heavy fabrics with their hands only. 🙏 We are asking for your help again. If you have an old but still in good condition washing machine that you are not using anymore, can you donate it to us instead? 🙏 It will be a huge help for our caretakers to maximize their time. If you have one, please send us a message.😊 See MoreSee Less
