There are so many ways you can be an IRO volunteer, from dog walking or socializing the cats at the shelter, helping out at events, assisting with administration jobs, promoting fundraising campaigns, or just sharing information on who IRO is with your friends and family, regardless of how you choose to volunteer, your efforts make a huge difference to the work we do. Without the support of our volunteers, there would be no IRO!
It doesn’t matter if it’s 2 or 20 hours a week, any help is truly appreciated. Anyone is able to volunteer with IRO however we do have a minimum age limit of 18 years of age to volunteer at the shelter. If you are under 18, you are still very welcome as a volunteer but you will need a parent or guardian with you while you’re at the shelter. There is no minimum age for volunteering outside of the shelter. Contact IRO for more information on how you can become a volunteer.
If you are interested in volunteering at IRO, please fill out our Volunteer Application form.
